The ElCapitano Wing Series is a line of hydrofoils designed to redefine your riding experience, optimized for speed, glide, predictability, and effortless wingtip breaching.
Inspired by the success of the mid-aspect Flight Attendant wings, the ElCapitano wings incorporate some of its most effective design elements into a higher-aspect lineup. Built for intermediate and advanced riders, the ElCapitano series delivers high performance and excellent rideability. Whether you are chasing speed on the 575, linking more waves on the 995, or gliding effortlessly while downwinding on the 1395, ElCapitano wings are built to perform.
The outline shape and wing twist maximize lift in the center of the wing, improving efficiency through tapered lift distribution. This creates an exceptional lift-to-drag ratio across each wing size. Together with the new section profile, these features allow the wings to perform across a wide speed range while maintaining a low stalling speed.
The higher-aspect design provides excellent speed and glide for the surface area. Reduced wingtip loading also allows the wingtips to cut through the water surface without ventilating the rest of the wing. Because aggressive wing-out turns are an exciting part of any foiler’s progression, predictability in these critical turns was a major focus. Several key features inspired by the Flight Attendant have been optimized into this higher-aspect design.
A custom-designed section:
The new section is precisely engineered to disperse pressure along both the upper and lower surfaces of the wing, reducing the concentration of suction pathways that can disrupt lift.
Curved-up wingtips:
When a wingtip meets the water surface, the contact angle is critical to the likelihood and severity of ventilation. Curved-up wingtips create a steeper wing-to-surface angle on contact, significantly reducing the risk of ventilation, whether you are pushing the limits or accidentally breaching a wingtip.
Each characteristic has been carefully balanced to create a high-performance wing that encourages progression while maintaining a smooth, predictable feel.
